Carol and Doug's Vroom Veer Stories

Doug was born in Pittsburgh, got to Hawaii as soon as possible in the Navy
Carol was born and raised in Hawaii, did her K-12 in Hawaii
Doug retired when Carol was in 5th grade, she didn't have go to the before/after soon programs; Dad was home now
Being retired can include some feelings of isolation; you need a plan to have social support; don't use this as an excuse to stay in a job that you don't like, you can work through this issue
Feeling a need to contribute something to your family and to the world is normal; finding out what that will look like can cause some fear; done right it can be lots of fun
What's it like to write a book with your Dad? Or your daughter? What were the challenges?
