Continuing with the Black Men in Education series, I sit down with Johnoi Josephs, a young black man with high aspirations. Despite only being in his third year of teaching, Johnoi has progressed to become Head of Year and is co-founder of a CIC organisation Black Men Teach.
It is clear that Johnoi is passionate about his job; his aim is to impact as much as possible and as he says 'each day brings something new.'
Working tirelessly to raise the profile of black male teachers through Black Men Teach, Johnoi lives in his purpose demonstrating why black males are significant in the classroom whilst amplifying the voices of black male teachers.
Johnoi believes in teaching beyond the curriculum with a purpose of ensuring young people rise into their greatness.
