Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to slowing down. Many of us are running nowhere fast. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off, thinking that if we’re moving we’re going someplace. However, although we’re moving we’re lacking direction. We’re all guilty of it. Running just so we can get far from where we started, yet still so far from where we want to be. So, what do you do?
Slow down. Sometimes you just have to slow down to see where you are. To know where you are coming from. To know where it is you want to go. But most importantly, you have to slow down just so that you can rejuvenate.
Songbird India.Arie belts, in her thought-provoking song, “Slow Down,” that in life you can “wreck your future [by running] from your past” just by simply moving too fast. For example jumping into a new relationship, losing weight, looking for a job, cooking and the list can go on and on and on. Figure out what is best for you and understand that sometimes it takes time. Remember, you didn’t go from being an infant to where you are now overnight. It’s not about who’s the fastest in the race, but who can endure the race.
And guess what? The same goes with life….
