First broadcast on FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL at 19:00 on December 19th 2021

Today’s guest is, as previewed briefly on last week’s show, the one and only BEN BAKER who, as he may have mentioned, is the author of several books about Christmas television, and is someone who is fast becoming the go-to person if you want to find out all sorts of trivial and detailed information about just the sort of television programming that has been lurking in the schedules around this time of year since the doldrums of the sixties, through the glory years of the seventies and eighties, and continuing on through the decline of terrestrial television’s dominance and the fragmentation of family viewing through the growth of home video recording, satellite television, streaming services, and a whole host of other viewing options that seem to have conspired to try to prevent the nation from sitting down as one and enjoying some great programmes together in that no longer traditional manner.

His latest offering BEN BAKER’S CHRISTMAS BOX is now available, and BEN joined me to natter about that, but also to have a bit of a jolly old chat about telly, the universe, and everything, and, as yet another festive VISION ON SOUND offering, I hope that you’ll all enjoy the following hour in his company as much as I did.
