First broadcast on FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL at 19:00 on December 5th 2021

This week’s show is, I suppose, a bit of an experiment in which we take the starting point of COMFORT TV and see just where that conversation may take us. My first guest for this new (and perhaps recurring) strand is PAUL CHANDLER, a SHY YETI rather than a guinea pig or white mouse, and I hope that you enjoy the next hour as you all snuggle up in your blankets, huddle around your crystal sets, and maybe give some thought as to what your own comfort viewing may be.

This wide-ranging chat covers the kind of shows its nice to have to hand, the comfort in having a physical media collection, the anxiety of shows dropping off a platform before you've seen them, new shows, old sows, recommended shows, binge-watching, watching with friends, and the joy of watching old shows for the very first time. We touch upon (although not to any great extent) shows like DOCTOR WHO, NEIGHBOURS, HOME & AWAY, V, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, DARK SHADOWS, BLAKE'S 7, BERGERAC, THE AVENGERS and Paul's love of horror movies.

PLEASE NOTE - For Copyright reasons, musical content sometimes has to be removed for the podcast edition. All the spoken word content remains (mostly) as it was in the broadcast version. Hopefully this won't spoil your enjoyment of the show.
