A healthy baby thrust into a fight for life due to an undetected outbreak of staph infection in the hospital nursery. This is how Melanie’s life began. The nurses worked heroically, but 21 lives were lost. Melanie physically survived but deep trauma wounds were left behind. These wounds were like that staph infection – undetected.
