This is a replay of an episode from 2020. Harry Billinge MBE was one of the first soldiers to land on Gold Beach in German-occupied Normandy at 6.30am on 6 June 1944 as part of the D-Day landings. He was a sapper attached to the 44 Royal Engineer Commandos and was one of only four to survive from his unit. Harry passed away earlier this year on the 5th of April. It is an honour to be able to keep some of his stories alive.
