Maxine was an actress, professional troupe dancer and a one-time Playboy Australia “Playmate of the Month”. She has been a notable pioneer in the adult industry in Australia. In 2000, she established the Australian Adult Industry Awards, and later went on to launch the national Miss Erotica and Miss Dream Girl pageants — all in the name of empowering and promoting recognition among exotic female performers and equality for women within the adult industry.

Maxine’s eccentric life provided plenty of color for her very own biography; Maxine Stripped Naked: Tales From the Sex Industry was released in 2004. With the help of friend and business partner, Larry Flynt, the porn king of the Hustler brand empire, she opened famed Brunswick-based Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club in 2007, and still operates it today.

She went on to found the Sin City Chamber of Commerce and Las Vegas Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, the latter of which helped her pivot into the legal cannabis industry by launching Las Vegas Cannabis Tours in 2020. It is one of the only marijuana tours in Las Vegas fully owned and run by a female. The excursions attract both locals and visitors, visit major dispensaries, cannabis museums and grow houses in Las Vegas. The rapid and recent success of Las Vegas Cannabis Tours gained recognition in a feature from The New York Times in July 2021, and French TV show Sept à Huit (French adaptation of 60 minutes), October 2021.
