In this episode, we question the definition of music, test YOUR ability to perceive it, and talk about what we think is important in music. We talk to Dave Baker, a postdoctoral researcher at the music cognition group in Amsterdam, about the way we can explore how music affects us, and we speak to Elly Posthumus, who experiences something called musical anhedonia, and does not enjoy music at all.

Thank you for listening! Stay tuned for episode 3, in which Ruben will talk about mental imagery. We’re excited to see you there!
