This episode is the first of a two-part series on the topic of ‘Financing Terrorism’. Beatrice de Graaf, an editor of the journal for Terrorism and Political Violence and historian at Utrecht University, hosts this episode. She kicks-off this series by interviewing Jessica Davis, an international expert on terrorism and illicit financing with a career that spans from intelligence analysis for the Canadian military to bringing evidence-based solutions to the private and public sectors to counter illicit financing and terrorism. She is in the PhD program at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and has published extensively. Her book Illicit Money: Financing Terrorism in the Twenty First Century was released in September 2021.
