In today's episode I talk with Dr. Vera Tarman about food addiction syndrome and it's chronic progressive nature.  This might help to explain why various plans work for some people and not others, or even for the same person at one time (and not at another time) - all about the progressive changing nature.  Dr. Vera Tarman is the Medical Director for Renascent, one of Canada’s largest drug and alcohol treatment centers.  She spearheaded their new in AND out patient programs in food addiction. She is the author of Food Junkies: Recovery from Food Addiction.  Dr. Tarman is also in food addiction recovery herself , having maintained a 100 pound weight loss for over ten years. She can be reached through her website AddictionsUnplugged.Com.
