Larry Asher is the director of the School of Visual Concepts (SVC) in Seattle, a role that was the inevitable result of saying "why not?" when asked in the 1990s if he'd like to teach a writing class. In the years since, Larry has led the expansion of the School's offerings into corporate professional development workshops, multi-month certificate programs in User Experience Design, and UX Writing & Content Design. In addition to leading the charge at SVC, Larry also teaches copywriting, case-study writing, presentation skills, creative briefing, and brief writing.
As if wearing the SVC hat wasn't head-covering enough, Larry also runs Worker Bees, a marketing communications consultancy serving the healthcare industry. This work builds on Larry's career as an advertising creative director. His contributions to the world of creativity were honored by the American Advertising Federation, which bestowed their Silver Award for lifetime achievement on Larry just a few years ago.
