The simulation theory begins to build to a point that a "simulation" of one type is put into place once human kind reaches a point of self destruction.
In this world today, we could look at all different types of views that say we are on the brink of self-destruction. When this theory gets pulled apart and scientists begin to apply facts to it, it appears that at least one of these scenarios has already taken place, that further could lead us towards proving "simulation theory" to be more real than false.
