Sara Clemens is the Chief Operating Officer of Twitch, and a deeply experienced technology executive.
Launched in June 2011, Twitch is the “leading service and community for multiplayer entertainment - unique, live, unpredictable experiences created by the shared interactions of millions of people.”
In August 2014 it was acquired by Amazon for $970 million, and today has 15 million daily average visitors. In 2018 alone, viewers watched 505 billion minutes of video, the equivalent of almost 1 million years.
Sara joined Twitch as COO in January 2018, where she now oversees the commercial, operations, go-to-market and G&A teams globally.
A deeply experienced technology executive, Sara has taken on executive roles in enterprise software, social networks, venture capital, music streaming and today live streaming. She has worked all across the world, including in Europe, North America, the Middle East, China, Russia, Latin America and AsiaPac.
Some of her former roles include Executive in Residence at Greylock Partners; Vice President of Corporate Development at LinkedIn; General Manager roles at Microsoft and Xbox and Chief Operating Officer at Pandora.
Today she is an advisor to Opendoor.com and The Relish Media Group, and a Director of Hootsuite.
