Peter Chrisp is the Chief Executive Officer of NZTE, a role he has held since 2010. As CEO he leads 800 employees in 40 offices around the world.
Prior to NZTE, Peter spent 23 years in the Pulp and Paper industry, including roles in human resources, operations, logistics, supply chain, business improvement and general management. Peter was the General Manager of Tasman Paper in Kawerau New Zealand, prior to taking up a role as Senior Vice President for Norske Skog International at the global headquarters in Oslo, covering business in South America, Asia, Middle East, and Europe. His final role before moving back to NZ was based in Sydney as Regional President Norske Skog Australasia, manufacturing newsprint for NZ, Australia and Asia markets.
Peter has a Master of Social Sciences from Massey University and has undertaken additional study in law, marketing, strategy, accounting and finance at universities in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.
