Now, I'm beginning to think that this podcasting thing is going to be a lifelong thing because there are so many things that really, really just irked me. today we're going to be talking about football.

Now. I'm a football fan. I love my football spurs supporter. Lifelong. Yeah. Love the team. Everything.

Not so much a fan of how much money they get paid. I'll tell you that from the beginning because I just think he's made football. Ridiculous. Now, back in the days of the Roman Colosseum, you used to have the gladiators. That used to go in fight, fight to the death, come out, adored by the fans. Yeah.

Now this is how people are beginning to treat footballers as if they're above everyone else. ive been watching the news, which is how I get most of the stuff I talk about, is by watching the news on the news, we're talking about footballers and Should footballers give up a percentage of their wage to actually safeguard a future of the club they play for and safeguard the jobs of the lesser people in the club that actually do the smaller jobs around the club.

Now, there's a lot of controversy going on. And a lot of stuff, which is kind of ridiculous, which I actually don't like now. For example, people have said, should, football is do this. a lot of footballers have said, no, we shouldn't. What about them? Now that to me is like a schoolyard thing where someone says something to you, so you then start pointing fingers at everyone else.

What about these people? What about these people? Well, no, hold on. We're not talking about those people, like bankers, investment bankers, et cetera.

We're talking about you. We would deal with them at a later date, and here's my honest opinion. Should footballers pay a percentage of their money or take a percentage cut of their money to safeguard the clubs and safeguard the jobs of people around them?

Yes. As far as I'm concerned, they should. Yeah. Me personally, if I took it to the next level or as far as I see it, I would cut their wages. You're not playing the game. You shouldn't be getting paid. Some of them are on more 350,000 a week. Some of the people who work for those clubs are going to be people who, some of the clubs are furloughed them.

Yeah, so I'm not sure if you're aware of the furlough scheme where basically the government will pay them. 80% of it is of whatever their wage was. Some of these people are on the bread line anyway. They're going to go home. They're going to food banks to get food. They can't afford their rent, gas, electric, et cetera.

There's a lot of things, a lot of problems that this is going to cause for them. And yet you'll have a football or sitting on a high horse saying, and this is one of the nonsensical arguments I heard.

Oh, well, if we pay a percentage, we'll lose a percentage of our wage, then it's going to reduce the amount we pay in taxes.

I don't care. Like I said, if I took you to the extreme, why would do is cut their wages full stop. Now, in some countries I heard, I can't remember which country it was, where football is actually voluntarily taken a pay cut of 70% you've had cut some countries where it's 20% now come to England, which is a premier league, which is meant to be the greatest league in the world.

So they say. And they have asked them to voluntarily take a cut of 12% nah, I don't think so. I wouldn't voluntarily, nothing. I would tell them, you're taking that pick up and off and then that would be the cut that they'd take. I don't care. There's no arguing, no nothing. You've got to think about the rest of the country and the people around it.

I don't care how much you give in charity This country has got to survive and a lot of people have got to do things to help the country to survive and I'm sorry you earn X amount, not your fault that you earn that amount.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous.

Footballers should never been getting paid that amount of money. It got out of hand and now it's like taking the genie out of the bottle. You can't put it back in the bottle. But when it comes to this situation, this is a situation in which is a once in a lifetime. No one has seen this happen before. It's unprecedented.

So therefore, people are actually losing their lives. So if you're telling me you can't take a cut and 12% is nothing. You can't take a cut to safeguard and protect and help people around you, then you basically are a worthless human being. So should footballers take a pay cut?

Yes, they should.

True Dat.
