Welcome to episode 30 of Trail Running Ireland. The show is hosted by Eoin Flynn, UTMB Finish Line Race Announcer and 10 times Irish International Mountain Runner.

This week we talk to Dr Peter Francis who has lived the running journey both as a young athlete starting off running 70 miles a week, he went through a number of nightmare injury years, but then came out the other side with many years of injury free running and PBs to boot, aswell as obtaining 3 science degrees and various coaching and consultancy roles. Arthur of the new book, released on June 28th, “Running from Injury”, we’re delighted to have Dr. Peter Francis with us.

Rene Borg from Running Coach Ireland is also here and this week we talk with Rene about the importance of variability in our training.
