Three states are currently seeing about 40% of the nation’s new COVID-19 cases, and Texas is one of them.

Here in the Houston area, cases and hospitalizations are on the rise – fueled by the spread of the Delta variant and a slowdown in vaccinations.

Last Thursday, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo raised the county’s threat level from "yellow," or moderate, to "orange,” which indicates that a significant and uncontrolled spread of the virus is taking place.
