First, Houston parents are petitioning Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Education Agency to allow school districts to require masks as the delta variant surges for children who are not yet eligible for the vaccine.


Then, we had a taste of the post-pandemic in the spring when we were told that the fully-vaccinated

could go mask-less. But now with the Delta variant and breakthrough infections, even the vaccinated are back to wearing masks indoors in areas of high transmission,  according to CDC guidelines.
