According to cancer.gov, in 2020, an estimated 1,806,590 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States.

This stat is alarming and it means that you are or know someone that is impacted by cancer. There is an growing base of evidence showing the benefits exercise can have on the prevention and treatment of cancer.

Which is why I am please to have Amanda Bayliss on the show this week. Amanda has been professionally involved in the fitness industry for twenty years as an Exercise and Cancer Specialist, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning coach, Track coach, Personal Trainer, and Integrative Health Coach. She is currently working at Berkshire Medical Center Cancer Center designing and implementing researched-based strength programs for cancer patients who are undergoing or have undergone treatment along with Integrative Health Coaching. Over these twenty years, she has also trained Division I & III National Champions in Swimming, Cross Country, Track & Field, Ivy League Championship teams, individual all-Americans, while maintaining her personal training skills with members of the community. Amanda is equally passionate about helping a cancer survivor regain trust in his/her body as she is about taking a top collegiate athlete’s performance to the next level or starting someone completely new to fitness on a individualized program. Her mission and passion in life is to positively impact the lives of people through the development of strength and conditioning, fitness, wellness and an overall healthy lifestyle.
