EP25 James Oatley is a knife maker from Sydney who mainly specializes in kitchen knives with an obvious Japanese influence. Managing to have very modern bright designs whilst still creating the traditional Japanese knife styles. His love of knife making came from a young age and we discuss some of the influences from that time that not only helped him start his journey but heavily influence how he makes now and his work ethos. James comes across as an easy going guy but is in no way lazy about his knives and his passion is clear.
