Brett Salakas -


Brett is an international keynote speaker, an author, the founder of #aussieED (the largest online network of teachers in Australia) and the co-founder of the ED Poets Society. He works for the NSW Department of Education in Strategic Partnerships and Engagement.


Brett is a Primary School teacher and Google Certified Innovator who, over the past 20 years, has taught in South East Asia and Australia. He is passionately committed to turning educational theory into real classroom practice. For Brett, it’s all about Connection, collaboration, and innovation!


Brett’s session ‘The Meta of Greta’, will put ideology aside and examine the combination of attributes that have enabled Greta Thunberg to become a global phenomenon. He will encourage participants to determine the modern pedagogical practices that can be put in place to support students in the development of similar ‘meta-traits’
