#23: When Hate Hits Home

A few weeks ago, Lauren released the episode titled "My First Sex Party". It's safe to say it pissed some people off. In this episode, Lauren talks about the first real time, since starting this podcast, that she's come face to face with the reality that sharing her own stories, experiences, and truths so...loudly... will inevitably put to the test some of her closest, most long-term relationships, and how some will go like the seasons while others strengthen as permanent fixtures in her life. She talks about the whirlwind of events following the episode's release, how her father got involved, and the core wounds that were felt and exposed as a result. She also talks about non-monogamy, or "the lifestyle,"  and the ways in which many of us grow up learning about and experiencing sex leads to stigmas, beliefs, and judgments that affect the way we perceive others, and also ourselves.
