The most powerful force in God’s Kingdom is love.

And we spell love, “J-E-S-U-S”.

You know, we are talking about contagiousness.

Well, I want to tell you, I looked up the Oxford Dictionary and “contagious” means - an emotion, attitude, likely to spread and affect others.

No, I am not talking about the Coronavirus. I am talking about the most powerful force in the world, love.

If we look at 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 in the Holy Bible, it is all about love.

And I just want to say to you that verse 4 says: “Love suffers long and is kind.”

And verse 8 says, “Love never fails.”

We need to be kind to one another.

It is contagious. The more kind you are to others, the more kind they are to you.

I don’t know if you remember a few weeks ago, I shared a true story about a young man looking for a job, and he was riding his horse - this was many years ago - and a car was coming from behind and he stopped and he opened the gates so that the driver, who was an old man, and his wife could pass through.

Eventually, he got a job with that man. Remember?

And when the old man and his wife died, they had no children and they left the farm to the young man who had shown kindness by simply opening a gate.

Well, that is not the end of the story.

A very dear friend of mine, Martin, a farmer who farms very nearby, told me the sequel to the story.

That young man got married and he never had any children either and he farmed and developed the farm, and when he got old, he made inquiries and he found that the man who had given him the farm, actually had some distant relatives, and he left the farm back to the original family.

Now that is the kindness that The Lord Jesus Christ is requiring from you and me today.

Be kind to one another.

When you are kind, you are investing the love of God into a world that is just grappling for some kind of love.

Just be kind. You know, just opening that gate was an act of kindness and it just continued to expand and to snowball and you can do exactly the same.

Have a wonderful Sabbath day and enjoy the kindness of God and most of all, share it around.
