The Lord says in Luke Chapter 19 and verse 13, “Do business till I come”.

I want to really encourage the businessmen to keep on going.

It is extremely tough at this lockdown time with the coronavirus and men not knowing what the future holds.

The Lord says, “Keep using the minas that I gave you.

Remember, He gave ten minas to one of his men.

He gave five to the other and to the other one, He gave one and He said, “Go and do business until I come”.

The one with the ten minas, went and he did good business, and when the landlord came back, he said, “ I have taken your ten minas and made another ten.”

The other one who had five minas said, “ Lord, I have doubled my money as well”, and the Lord said, “Well done”.

But the one who had one mina, he said, “I was afraid of you so I hid that mina but here it is back.”

And the Lord took that one mina and He gave it to the man with the ten minas.

Now, I must be honest with you, when I first read this parable years ago, I thought, “Lord that is very unfair.”

But if we look at verse 25 of Luke 19, The Lord says, “Then they said to him, “Master, he (already) has ten minas.”

But The Lord says,” For I say to you, that to everyone who has, will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

The love of money is the route of all evil, not money. It tells us that in 1 Timothy Chapter 6 verse 10.

I want to encourage businessmen to work hard and to multiply that which God has given them.

It is not a sin to be rich.

It is a sin to love money.

And that is why some of the Christian businessmen that I know, God has prospered, because they sow into the Kingdom of God.

And some of the poorest people I have met are mean. They are stingy and they do not give into the Kingdom and that is why they don’t have.

So I want to really exhort businessmen today.

Whether they be farmers, whether they be shopkeepers, whether they be investors, to do it as unto The Lord and The Lord will bless you.

Robert Le Tourneau was a man who started an earth moving company many, many years ago in America and God used that man so mightily.

He was the first man in the USA to fly a twin-engine aeroplane but he used to tithe ninety percent of his income and he used to keep ten percent for himself and he was a multi-multi-millionaire.

I want to encourage you today to sow generously, to work hard and to enjoy what God has given you.

Joseph of Arimathea was a businessman. He was responsible for taking our Lord Jesus off the cross and burying Him in his own personal tomb.

God bless you as you continue to sow and work hard for Jesus.
