It is Monday morning, 26th October 2020, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day.

1 John Chapter 3 and verse 4:

“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”

We cannot break the law.

The Lord says we shall be known by our fruit.

An apple tree cannot produce oranges.

We must obey God’s law.

A man who spurns sin and seeks after God is a man who abides in God.

John 15, verse 7 says:

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

The Lord is requiring in these days, righteous behavior.

We shall be known by our fruit and the main fruit is love.

Remember sin is breaking God’s law.

We can’t do that folks. We really need to obey the Word of God.

To disregard the law has grave implications.

Don’t lower your standards just because other people do.

The Lord says:“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Matthew Chapter 7 and verse 21.

I remember distinctly like yesterday, driving that big 20 ton Mercedes Benz truck, full of Bibles, up into Africa, “The Seed Sower.”

We had been driving for about three weeks. We were exhausted.

We had no contact with home. In those days there were no cellphones. We couldn’t afford a satellite telephone and I was concerned because I hadn’t heard from home and they hadn’t heard from us.

And we drove into a little village and there was a little office there, and it was the office of some overseas assistance organization, and as I walked in, a lovely young Zambian lady was working there.

I could see the love of Jesus in her. I could see her fruit that she was producing. She said to me, “I want you to take these keys. I want you to go down that little path there and you will find my house there. I want you to go into my house and make yourself a nice, hot bath and please tell the servant who is working for me to make you a nice pawpaw salad.”

That was the nicest pawpaw salad I have ever eaten in my entire life. I lay in that bath, I think for half an hour.

was absolutely in heaven, and i tell you what - that young lady never asked for a thing. We went back. We gave her the keys to her house. We prayed with her.

She prayed with us and we went on our journey and that sustained us for many more weeks.

Let us produce the fruit of The Spirit today. Let us keep the law. Let us be Jesus to a world that seems to be going mad.

Have a wonderful day and remember, He will never leave you nor forsake you.
