82.985% of the answers Brian and I receive when we ask, "What do you think you'd like for your wedding?" is, "I would like ____________and greenery.  It's almost like someone told you that the only way to go North and South is via the highway.  Well guess what folks, there's all kinds of cool back roads with small towns and great views you're missing out on when you take the highway!
Often when we try to get to the root of why its for 1 of 2 reasons:

Its expected to be cheaper (listen to the episode for the answer on this one)It's what you're seeing everywhere (do you want to do what everyone else did?)
