In the last few decades, Cancers have progressively increased amongst the African population. Breast cancer in particular has had a devastating effect on African women.

This is the reason my guest in today’s conversation is a Breast Cancer Surgeon. Dr. Miriam Mutebi is Kenya's first female Consultant Breast Surgical Oncologist and an Assistant professor in surgery at the Aga Khan University (AKU) Medical College.

We had an extensive discussion about the multi-disciplinary care & treatment of cancer on the continent, the causes of cancer (Risk Factors), the importance of regular cancer screening, and the role of the UICC (Union for International Cancer Control).
