In today’s episode of Toxin Terminator, Aimee is joined by Elisa Garcia. She is a licensed architect, interior designer, and construction manager with 32 years of experience. Elisa grew up working in her father's architectural and development firm. Being that it was the 1970's in California, her dad was interested in meditation, creative visualization, and Eastern philosophies, and shared his ideas with her while driving her around to building sites on the weekends.

Elisa's passion for organic, nature-inspired design was fueled when she read Frank Lloyd Wright's autobiography at the age of 15. At the age of 18, Elisa went to work for several interior design and construction management firms for the following 15 years, then she started her own firm when she obtained her architectural license in 2004. By applying her knowledge in the fields of aging, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness, fitness, and health, Elisa's firm helps people improve their sleep, nutrition, mood, allergies, productivity, fitness, and habits. Building design has negatively impacted our health, and she wants to change that.

In today's episode we are learning: How Elisa got involved in organic design, Elisa's tips on sustainable design, The top ingredients to avoid in building materials, How to incorporate non-toxic into RV design. Catch more great information through Elisa's blog at zenspaces.design!
