Don't Let Go of Your Dreams

Maybe you’ve abandoned a precious dream. Buried it under shame brought on by others’ judgment about it's worthiness or feel your dream just “isn’t in the cards” for you.

And even more, we sometimes have dreams that aren’t even ours and are simply copied from others (ehemmm, go listen to last week’s episode). We can find ourselves chasing something we don’t even really want or fits who we are. 

Your dream either lives in the dark OR you’ve stopped considering it at all OR you aren’t even sure what it is. 

What if your dream isn’t typical or traditional? That doesn’t mean it’s stupid. What if God gave you that dream so He can magnify His glory? What if He always had huge plans for that dream? Even if you can’t see His purpose in it yet. 

It’s hard to dream when it seems that there is nothing lining up towards it taking place. But God doesn’t place in our hearts something we are passionate about for no reason!

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

JEREMIAH 29:12-13

 Tune in to this episode of The Thought Vault and listen to how dreams keep us hopeful, give us joy, and align us to what God created each of us to do. Re-discovering my dreams was a life-line to living in His grace and provision.

Now, I know the joy that comes with grabbing hold of His promised hope and future for me. The joy from trusting His vision for my life over others’ expectations and my own.  And you know what? With prayer and faith in God, I’ll never bury my dreams again.
