He is a former Secondary School Assistant Headteacher, Geography Teacher, Duke of Edinburgh Lead and Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) and received an Inspirational Educator Award from the Worshipful Company of Educators in 2016. In 2020 he was named in the EdTech 50, as one of the key people shaping Education Technology in the UK.
