In this raw and vulnerable solo episode, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who’ve taken the time to share those heartwarming, positive reviews about my show. Today, I would like to share with you my ongoing journey with grief, even after nearly six long years since a profound loss. It’s a journey filled with struggle, one that I’m sure many of you can empathize with. But amidst this journey, two of the most challenging aspects have been betrayals by those I love and the need to convey and justify my grief and sorrow to others. It’s not always easy for people to truly grasp the profound and pervasive nature of this emotional pain.
As I reflect on my personal journey through grief, it’s been a myriad of emotions that have swept me from anger to resentment and back again. There have been moments when these turbulent feelings strained the bonds with those whom I once felt closest to and who I most needed to support me. Even though relationships were lost and I humbly removed some people from my life, what I've come to cherish above all else is the immeasurable value of understanding and compassion from the beautiful souls in our lives as we navigate the unique pathways of our grief. So, my friends, I want to emphasize that grief isn't a fleeting visitor; it's a lifelong companion. It's absolutely okay to still carry the weight of this sorrow many years after the initial loss. In this ongoing journey, self-compassion and the warm embrace of supportive relationships are like beacons in the darkest night, guiding us through the rough waters.
