Keylonda Wheeler has always had a passion for helping others which inspired her to earn a degree in speech pathology. She enjoys supporting the pediatric population in the school setting and incorporating literacy and the arts into therapy sessions. In 2015, Keylonda was introduced to the telepractice setting and embraced the concept of using technology to "work smart and not hard"! Practicing speech and language therapy in public, private, and virtual schools for nine years, she has become increasingly aware of the need to create literature that brings acceptance of differences and disabilities. This awareness helped to inspire Keylonda to write the Inclusive K.R.E.W.E. children's book series which includes a rhyming book that provides readers an overview of school-based speech therapy in a way that children can understand. She is currently a related services manager of an amazing team of SLPs providing both teletherapy and in-person services in New Hampshire schools.   Visit www.keylondawrites.com to purchase autographed books and follow @KeylondaWrites on all social media platforms.   You can stream this episode wherever you listen to podcasts or at: www.3cdigitalmedianetwork.com/telepractice-today-podcast
