Bryden MacPherson - College Golf &The Oceana Golf Players Association

Episode 22 of the Tee it Up Podcast we are joined by one of the great men of Australian Golf , Bryden MacPherson . 

Bryden is a 31 year old Tour Pro who has played golf on just about every tour in the world !!

 After a dominant junior career Bryden took a full scholarship to prestigious college in the USA , Georgia State where he played alongside some of the world's best players, Harris English and Patrick Reed to name a few . 

In 2011 Bryden Won the world biggest Amateur event, The Amateur Championship which granted him automatic entry to the 2011 Open championship at Royal St Georges, The U.S Masters and the U.S Open . 

Bryden talks us through these weeks and how amazing these tournaments are and the key learnings he took into his professional career . After turning professional in 20212 , Bryden is 5 x Professional winner , 3 on the china tour and 2 on the PGA Australian Tour , Fast forward to 2021 Bryden won the N.S.W Open @ Concord in which he talks about as his finest win as he was able to hold onto a lead for the entire final round . Bryden is the founding and current President of the Oceana Golf Players Association and is passionate about the growth of the sport in Australia and abroad !! 

On this episode of the Tee It Up Podcast, Bryden announced his retirement as of 09/04/2022 which has been 10 years since he turned professional, seeking new opportunities and wanting new challenges in his life .
