In this episode, Flavilla is joined by Richard Alberg. They discuss how EdTech is changing the work environment.

Richard is the founder and CEO of MWS Technology Ltd, a company he launched in 2009 after a successful career in psychometric testing and HR technology. MWS provides an innovative SaaS platform, called Aptem, that vocational training and employment services providers use to deliver their contracts.

Prior to MWS, Richard founded Psychometric Services Ltd (PSL). PSL developed and published psychometric tests and was a pioneer in the field of online recruitment, integrating assessment with recruitment workflow software. The company was purchased in November 2006 by Kenexa, a NASDAQ HR solutions provider that was in turn acquired by IBM. Whilst completing his earn-out, Richard became a Senior Vice President at Kenexa and was responsible for their European and then their Asia-Pacific businesses.

Richard Alberg is also a founder and director at Corndel Ltd, a fast-growth apprenticeship training provider with a blue-chip client base. Since founding the company in October 2016, Corndel has grown to over 200 staff and 3,500 apprentices.

Richard is a shareholder and advisor to several businesses, including as a non-executive director of Protocol Holdings Ltd. In 2019 Richard completed a three-year term as chair of Launchpad Recruits and in 2017 he completed a two-year term as Chair of North Hertfordshire College, a £35m turnover education provider.

Richard lives in North West London and is married with two adult children.
