Our featured guest in this episode of the Team Lally Radio show is Daniel Alexander, the Advocacy, Planning & Communication Director for the Hawaii Bicycling League. Daniel discusses the difference between bicycling in Hawaii compared to some countries with better cycling infrastructures.

We discuss how Daniel got involved in the bicycling community and eventually spearheading the project to bring more awareness to bicycling in Hawaii. We talk about the importance of bicycling to our community and the many benefits it provides.

Who is Daniel Alexander?

Daniel Alexander is  is a UH Manoa grad twice over - first for a bachelor's in political science and then a master's in urban planning, focusing in transportation. He founded Cycle Manoa a UH student organization that recycled and repaired bicycles, and created a community around bicycling.
He worked as a transportation planner for the National Park Service in Cape Cod, Massachusetts before returning to Hawaii to work as an urban planning consultant for a local firm. He’s  currently the Advocacy, Planning & Communication Director for the  Hawaii Bicycling League
