In this episode, Dr. Shaw continues to review the Q&A section of her recent parenting book called I LIKE HOW YOU SPEAK TO ME... A PARENT'S GUIDE TO EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH CHILDREN.   In recent podcasts, Dr. Shaw has reviewed the 10 governing principles for effective parent-child communication which forms the opening section of her book, but the closing section of the book features the ten most frequently asked questions that Dr. Shaw hears from parents and podcast listeners.  This week, she dives into second of those questions which is, "How do get my child to go to bed at bedtime?"   Dr. Shaw has the answer which is all centered on front-loading... front-loading both an agreement about the details of bedtime and the consequences for not upholding that agreement. This is great material, and it addresses a very common scenario, so enjoy.
