Wendy & David are parents of a blended family, each with three children from previous relationships. They are neighbors of Laurie & Matt in Tulare, California, and Wendy and Matt worked together for a couple years at a school in Strathmore. Wendy is an elementary teacher in nearby Porterville and a mother of three, one in college, a recent high school grad in the military, and a pre-teen. David works in the grocery industry and has three adult children. He was also a club & high school volleyball coach for decades. Topics discussed include the importance of valuing education at home, the transformational power of high school counselors, children (and Matt) not asking for help (is it a boy thing?), and the pandemic's impact on learning gaps.
