Laurie & Matt begin a 10 week journey they're calling the Sourcebook Series, a collection of journal entries that they started to collect, evaluate, generate, and refine over the last six months that represent the most important ideas and principles of who they are, that represent what their life stands for. It's been some of the most important work they've done for themselves, which in turn is good for the teens they serve.

On this episode they talk about the first list in their Sourcebook: Virtues. Virtues represent the guiding principles and values that guide our actions, help us make better decisions, and define what we consider to be a truly Good Life. What are your virtues? This week's homework is to do a Google search for a list of virtues, and think about which ones matter the most to you, that you want to define the kind of person you are. Select 4 or more to be your primary virtues, then as many more as you like to be supportive, sub-virtues. Write them down, define them in your own terms, and spend some time each morning meditating on them before you begin your day.
