Hadrian is truly one of the most fascinating Emperors of Ancient Rome. He came into power when the Roman Empire arguably was at its greatest height and guaranteed the continuous survival of the Empire for many centuries to come. Rob and Luca delve into his life from the very beginning and discuss his brilliant choices in affairs of state, running the Empire and being involved in some of the most magnificent buildings in the history of architecture including the famous "Hadrian's Villa". They also discuss that everything about this Emperor wasn't perfect. He had quite a dark side that had led to some disastrous choices during his reign.
