Well, another of Chris' favorite franchises scorched to the ground. We're here today to talk about Halloween Ends, the final installment in the Blumhouse trilogy of Halloween movies, directed by David Gordon Green and written by him and Danny McBride. They act as the third official reboot of the franchise, wiping out the rest of the Halloween canon and following Laurie Strode as she attempts to move on past Michael Myers, even after he escapes from his maximum security prison (again) and comes after her. The last film, 2021's "Halloween Kills" saw Michael taking on the entire town of Haddonfield rather than just Laurie, and now, we have a new threat in the form of Corey Cunningham, a kid with a dark secret that the town looks to as their new boogeyman, who gives off signs he might have a dark passenger inside him as well. Dom & Chris break down all the problems with this latest iteration of the character, how this is the latest example of how the 2010's screwed up a classic franchise, and what this movie got surprisingly right, if only by accident.
