I sat down and had the pleasure of talking to the founder of, Travel with Sinja, Sinja Stoetzner. Our main topic of discussion surrounded her business.
Sinja and I spoke about her life-changing moment when she travelled across to Kenya to experience the culture, and when she went back to her home country, Germany, she decided that she was going to move to Kenya and start a new life.
We discussed why she started her business, Travel with Sinja, and what the business entails. Sinja talked about helping women feel empowered into wanting to travel to Kenya and Africa in general. We discussed what her goals for the company are long term.
I also spoke to Sinja about some of the challenges she faces on a day to day basis. We talked about how hard the pandemic has been on the growth of her business.
We discussed why Africa doesn't get the footfall it deserves and what can be done to change people's perception in the western world. Sinja and I spoke about whether the media has a part to play.
Sinja talked to me about the importance of social media and the importance of this on the growth of her business.
We discussed her personal circumstances as she has become a new mother.
It was a pleasure talking to Sinja, and I look forward to seeing where she ends up next.
