Twitch responds to $25m lawsuit about "suggestive" female streamers 
In June, frequent plaintiff Erik Estavillo filed a lawsuit against Twitch, demanding damages due to claims that the platform had made him suffer through medical problems related to sex addiction, because of the content and algorithms on the site.
Specifically, Estavillo listed the names of female Twitch streamers he sought to be permanently banned from the platform, arguing that they violated the platform's own community guidelines.
The lawsuit, which was, at points, extremely descriptive, received widespread coverage for its complaints, especially because of the high-figure that was requested in damages.
In a response, filed on August 18, Twitch's lawyers have asked for the complaint to be struck under Anti- SLAPP laws. Anti-SLAPP laws are intended to protect businesses and individuals from essentially baseless legal proceedings. Typically, these are suits only intended to be costly or time-wasting for the defendant, rather than actually seeking victory for the plaintiff.

Cheaters Live Streaming Warzone And Fortnite On Twitch 

Cheaters, hackers, and players who use different mods to play games are plaguing the gaming scene. From Fortnite to Call of Duty Warzone, these cheaters are everywhere. Recently, we witnessed how they are getting more brazen every day. For instance, some set up their cheat mods while live-streaming!
This has led to the entire community vocally striking down on game developers and their anti-cheat policies. Epic Games, Infinity Ward, Riot Games, they are all big names and everyone expects them to encourage fair play.
We have seen Esports crack down on cheating as well in recent months.

Stump - What position do you think Twitch should take against hacking/cheating if any at all?

How to watch Elon Musk’s Neuralink demo at 6PM ET / 3PM PT 
Amid the search for a COVID-19 vaccine and launch of a new Mars rover, there is yet another technological breakthrough on its way — at least, according to Elon Musk. Today at 6PM ET, his company Neuralink will demonstrate what may be one of the first “ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.”
Apparently, Neuralink is looking to connect to the human brain using flexible electrodes thinner than a human hair. 

Stump - What sort of implications do you see for this with gaming in the future?

TimTheTatman explains why Fall Guys is such a phenomenon 
The internet rallied around TimTheTatman as the hugely popular Twitch streamer tried and failed, and failed, and failed again to take the crown at the end of a match of Fall Guys last week. When he finally did it, it felt like the whole world had won — a small, strange reprieve in the middle of a stressful summer.
It’s a really simple and easy game to understand,” he said. “It’s three buttons. In Fortnite, there’s lots of buttons and stuff happening. Fall Guys is pretty simple. You just jump and dive and try not to fail.”
The fact that it’s so simple to follow along with makes it “fun and easy to watch” as streamers play. Fall guys is also the most downloaded ps plus game of all time.

Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known for his starring role in Black Panther, has passed away at 43. He had been fighting a four-year battle with colon cancer.
The news was reported by the AP and then confirmed on Boseman’s Twitter account, which states that he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016. Over the last four years, it progressed to stage IV.
Boseman is best known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having debuted as T’Challa in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. But his credits extend back to the early 2000s, with roles on shows like Law & Order, Third Watch, and CSI: NY. In 2013, he starred as Jackie Robinson in 42, a well-received biopic about the life of the first African American player in Major League Baseball.

No real question here, just wanted to pay respects to a great actor. Thoughts and prayers go to his family.

Netflix is making an original live-action Resident Evil TV series 
Netflix has announced a new live-action TV series based on the Capcom’s popular Resident Evil series of video games that will be produced by Constantin Film, the same company that made the previous six Resident Evil films starring Milla Jovovich.
The upcoming series will feature an original story set within the world of the Resident Evil, set across two timelines. The first will see sisters Jade and Billie Wesker (presumably of some relation to longtime series antagonist Albert Wesker) move to the corporate town of New Raccoon City at age 14, before realizing the destination and their father “may be concealing dark secrets.”
Andrew Dabb — who had previously worked as a writer and co-executive producer on Supernatural — will serve as the showrunner, executive producer, and writer for the eight-episode series, with Bronwen Hughes (a director best known for her work on The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul) set to direct the first two episodes of the series.

I dont know what the next popular game will be but i can tell you fall guys will fall of the map by the end of the year.

Id like to handle this next prediction with a little more respect and decorum.  After Chadwick Boseman's sad passing I believe marvel will at some point recast the black panther. I think Marvel will find it important to keep this character present in their future plans and we know they had big plans for him as it was with BP 2 slated for 2022. 

I dont know when the machines took over but i do know that Elon Musk is going to be accused of “trying to start the matrix” or that he is “trying to become the thought police”. 

I dont know what the outside world looks like at this point but i can tell you that there will be a spike in agoraphobia cases in the near future as a result of covid.
