Can Someone Who Was Raised With Love Handle Someone Raised From Survival

When I met my husband, he was as close to a feral child as you can get. He was raised poor, in a home where the adults didn't communicate to each other or the child, he wasn't told he was beautiful, smart, kind or loved. My childhood was just the opposite.
