This episode is going to be a complete education in intermittent fasting for those who have never heard of OR are new to intermittent fasting.

You might be wondering what #3 has to do with anything!


Well, when you begin intermittent fasting, your "eating window" is smaller throughout the day than before. Due to this, what you consume has to be planned/strategized and given some thought before hand. If you eat purely based on survival and for pleasure (taste), you will likely be WAY off on your macros on a consistent basis, which will make intermittent fasting very difficult, and almost impossible.


What's the main takeaway here? Eat with purpose! Just like we train with purpose, we also eat with purpose.


And by the way, you can eat purposefully to hit macros AND also give in to some of those cravings (or just simply eat things you love). This is called flexible eating, and it is very possible when intermittent fasting.
