My guest this week is Lee Conley. He is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting men I’ve ever had the chance to speak with. Not only is he a music teacher, he’s a historical martial arts practitioner and a fantasy novelist whose books combine pulse-pounding action scenes and zombies.

In this conversation we cover an awful lot in a short amount of time. We talk about historical martial arts and how they’ve influenced his stories, how Conan the Barbarian possibly changed the course of his life, and what role the warrior archetype has in our society today.
