This episode discusses where the line is, between, coming up with the gold, which is original, brilliant, authentic and genius or producing something safe, cliché and unoriginal? There must be a formula and that is what I discuss here. As well as a formula, there is the inevitability of failure. Well, of course, how do you come up with something that no one else would? By being brave and taking the risk that actually, you don't know enough about where the edge is and may end up either falling over the edge of the cliff OR not going near enough to the edge.
This is a philosophical subject that plays out in our everyday activities, from the mundane to the creative, from the tiny to the large. Of course some things desire us to just nail, be safe and not take risks. But when it comes to art, we need to be brave, take risks, be prepared to fail in order to seek out and bring back the gold to the people.

We always hear successful people say that they had to fail. But I wanted to dig deeper into that and many other ideas about the idea of how we find that which is gold, sought out by people and found to be valuable and really stands out.
