Previous Episode: Episode 001 - Chip Baker

Henry Johnstone is a Life Coach, speaker, Metal Work Artist, and podcaster. He is an unshakable believer in the power of good and he remains a powerful advocate for men’s mental health.

At the age of 11, Henry had his first episode of depersonalization and then at 14 he was sectioned as a threat to his own life and placed in secure hospital accommodation. , he was sectioned twice more and led a fiercely troubled life, becoming both an alcoholic, a drug user, experiencing homelessness and a life long relationship with self-harm.

Finding little or no help from the medical or social services, and with the support of his family, he resolved to cure himself.

Now aged 38 he has been clean for 10 years, he has forged a life of meaning and purpose. Henry still struggles at times with his mental health but this only adds to his authenticity on stage and with his clients. Henry is wedded to the idea of persuading young people to avoid walking the path of his adolescent years and early 20’s. He is driven to educate the world on how to understand Mental Health illness, addiction and the dangerous pressures masculinity being placed on young men. So that as people we can move past stigma and shame in schools in the workplace and within the family.
