Welcome, thanks for taking the time to listen to our very first episode of the new Podcast, "Standing Post." In this first episode, we introduce you to the Deputy Assistant Director, Ronald Layton. With Ron’s help, we will take you through a brief history of the agency, his personal journey on becoming a Secret Service Special Agent, what it’s like behind the scenes, and some interesting facts you may not know about the people, mission, and our historic organization that was created by President, Abraham Lincoln hours before he was assassinated.

Hosted by Cody Starken, he delves into the iconic United States Secret Service; an organization usually kept very private by its workforce. Wherein, he takes the listener on a journey with him to discover the unique people who champion the agency every day and make up the extraordinary, 153-year-old federal law enforcement institution it has become.
