Creation Corner: Languages

Special: Thane and Rhett talk about a project Thane's been working on. Languages are given lip service in D&D, but what happens if you want to showcase this aspect of your game? Listen in for some pointers on how to start to include a language of your own creation at your table. In this episode we mention two free online services that can help you start to build your own language:

Etymonline is an etymological dictionary that focuses on where words come from. Great for satisfying your own curiosity, but also helpful in figuring out how to create word histories in your own devised language!
Thane introduces Awkword, an automated tool that generates words based on letters you provide.
Conlangery, a current podcast dedicated to discussing the mechanics of creating your own language. At well over 100 episodes, there's plenty to keep your brain going!
